KOLLEG Heristal

"Are you a student or are you working yet?"

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? As if studying were in some way opposed to work. There are students who think studying is just something you do in your spare time. But there are others too. These are the students who want to live here.

Situated right in the heart of the student quarter of Aachen, Kolleg Heristal is minutes away from the main university campus. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere in Heristal is a really welcome break from the library. If ever students encountered loneliness, it wouldn't be here!

The residence is open to students of all fields of study, of all nationalities and backgrounds. And when residents need a break from their work they can enjoy sports, music, discussions...

The semester programme on offer here also gives students the opportunity to attend guest lectures on various topics, allowing them to meet in person professors from the university or other people in the public eye. Students can also take an active role in many other cultural activities: international evenings, film forums, debates on current affairs...

Talks or courses on aspects of the Christian faith available in Heristal have been entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Catholic Church (further information about the Founder). The residence is owned by the registered association Deutsch-Internationaler Kulturverein e.V.
